Is it actually thick and warm?
Yes. It is heavyweight velour with a full sherpa lining, not thin polyester. It has real weight to it when you pick it up, and it is warm enough to be the only thing you throw on over pyjamas in January.
How does it fit?
Relaxed and oversized on purpose, so it never pulls at the shoulders or rides up when you sit down. It falls to floor length with wide sleeves and a deep hood that actually stays up.
What size should I choose?

Does it feel like a costume?
No. Costume robes are thin single layer polyester you wear once. This is real loungewear with a lined interior and reinforced seams, built to be worn every night through winter rather than one evening in October.
How do I wash it?
Machine washable. Cold wash on a gentle cycle, then hang to dry. Skip the tumble dryer and the velour pile keeps its softness and depth wash after wash.
